  1. I think it was cool to find out that in the DR Sammy and his friends would use tree branches and milk cartons to play baseball. Also the video really kept my attention and showed me more about who he was and his personality of how friendly he seems to be.

  2. I really like how you guys heightened your voices to emphasize main points. You both did a great job explaining the deeper meanings of your points together. I can't believe that someone who lived in the DR with no money and played baseball with branches became one of the nation's most renowned baseball player! You guys did a good job

  3. I never knew he started at such a young age. I can not believe he started playing for such a great team at such a young age. I liked how you opened and closed with a quote.

  5. I had no idea about Sammy Sosa's past. I new the DR wasnt a wealthy country but the fact that someone can grow up playing with branches and make their way to being an all-star in the MLB amazes me.
Great presentation and information. You guys obviously new your stuff.

  6. I learned that Sammy Sosa was 1 of 7 kids. He was a beast at hitting home runs and competed in a home run derby against Mark McGuire which he lost but just barely. He was drafted at the age of 15 but because he was one year to young, he got redrafted at the age of 16 by the Texas Rangers. I liked the alternating that you two did between the slides, the transition was very good.

  8. 1. I learned that Sammy Sosa was signed onto a minor league team when he was only sixteen, and that amazed me.
    2. Good presentation! The video added some humor into your presentation, and I like that. Humor is always good for these things, it takes the edge off.

  10. I didn't know that Sammy Sosa was from the Dominican republic. I knew he was an immigrant but didn't know from where. It was also interesting that he was drafted at such a young age. You had great info on his childhood. You guys also did a great job of talking about his baseball life in chronological order.
