Inspiring story of Anthony Kiedis

Anthony Kiedis is the lead singer of Red Hot Chili Peppers and his story is about as well known as his music. He stuggled from an early age finding good influences and a comfort zone. His two idols, His dad and Hillel Slovak (bandmate), had the most emaculate personalities and were simply the people you want to be around but his dad introduced him to pot at age twelve and Hillel later introduced him to heroine. Anthony went on to use heroine through a needle for over 5 years while making music and livng his own, unique life of stardom. After Hillel's death to a drug overdose in 1988, Anthony went into a dangerous binge of hardcore drugs but later fought the addiction and decided to quit all narcotics. In order to understand the significance of his triumph over heroine, you must understand the horribly addictive property of heroine. Statistics show that less than 3% of people that take heroin through a syringe are able to quit cold turkey and that is exactly what he did. Not only was he simply able to quit, but he was without a positive influence and he lives in a dark world of drugs and partying that his career will never let him escape. This exhibit of willpower speaks to me as Anthony Kiedis to me, accomplished one of the most difficult tasks of all time, while also making some of my favorite music, so I'm sure I can accomplish whatever lies ahead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfOdWSiyWoc
