I was in a class in high school that all we had to do was read book and she would pick a theme for each book. The theme for this time was politics. Always being interested in politics i picked Glenn Becks book called "Common Since". It was pretty much about an out or control government. Though his book i started watching his TV show "The Glenn Beck Show" on Fox News. When i was watching Beck he announced that he was going to have a rally in Washington DC on 8/28. At first I didn't think I would go but I was able to save some money and with some peoples help me and a buddy from school went up for what Beck called a Restoring honer to America. It was amazing there was no political things said the main message was if we change ourselves and find God that we will change who is in Washington. The main speakers were Sara Palin and Alveda King Martin Luther Kings niece. The turn out was way more then anybody expected.

Will Smith

One of the most influential people in my life, Will Smith. I have followed Will Smith since I was about maybe 6 or 7 and watched about all of his movies and shows.
He's an amazing actor, and really knows how to dive into his roles and make them beyond believable. It's sort of funny though how he started off because at the beginning of his career he came out as a rapper and never really intended on being an actor, but then after a while he was recognized by NBC and switched over from rapping to acting as he played the main character in the show "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". He's been in all sorts of movies and shows like "Bad Boys", "Hitch", "I Am Legend", "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". What makes him so unique in acting though is how he's able to pull off any type of genre role that he plays. Comedy, Action, Drama, etc.. he pulls any of them off extremely well. One movie in particular that he did really well in was "Seven Pounds" where he meets all of his clients throughout the whole movie and in the end turns out to be an organ doner.
I don't know what it is about him, but ever since I was a kid I always just felt like I could relate to every one of his movies or at least the personalities that he plays in each. One movie he can be extremely serious, then another movie or show, fresh prince of bel-air, he can be goofy, then another movie he can be a smooth romantic, his variety never ends and I always felt like I could relate to all the personas he plays in each.

Remember me

I'd like to start off by saying that at first I really didn't want to watch this movie because this jerk is always hugging up on Kristin Stewart. I first saw this movie during the summer after my senior year of high school. My first time watching it I was with a couple of friends and I remember the chills I got through out this movie. To this day, every time I watch this must see movie, I still get the chills. This movie is about how a 21 year old kid named Tyler undergoes a series of unfortunate events, and struggles through his everyday life. He undergoes a loss of a family member, and a ever lasting battle against his father. I don't want to spoil to much, so if you want to know more about the plot and the outcome, just check it out yourself.
This movie impacted me in multiple ways. The first being to appreciate the things I have in my life. The most important of those things would be my life and family. I feel like too many people speak so ill-like of their family, complaining about how much life sucks, and how they hate their parents. I hate that people think they have it so rough when it actually, things could be far worse. The second thing that this movie had done for me, was influence me to be a better person. After watching this movie, I not only wanted to be a better older brother, but also a better son and person in society. I realized the impact that I could have on my younger siblings, who look up to me. The third thing I learned from this movie about myself is that I want to change peoples lives in a positive manner. I'd like to be remembered as the guy who helped turn peoples lives around. A quote used in this movie that I absolutely loved was :
"Whatever you do in life will be insignificant, but its very important that you do it, cause nobody else will.."

Daniel Day Lewis

Daniel Day Lewis is one of the most amazing actors I
have ever seen in any movie and he is always interesting to watch. One of his
roles that I really enjoy is Bill the Butcher in the movie “The Gangs of New
York”. He plays the villain and does an incredible job bringing the character
to life in the movie. He literally becomes his roles, to the point where he
wore his clothes from the set for extended amounts of time and he called all
the actors by the names of their characters while he was in character. His role
Bill the Butcher could also throw knives very well and by the end of filming
Daniel could hit bull’s-eyes with throwing knives.

The
movie is a dramatization of the nearly lawless times in the mid nineteenth
century when the police and fire department were not yet government regulated
and the current mayor was corrupt. Gangs ruled the city and Bill is the leader
of the most feared gang in the city after he killed the protagonist father, the
leader of the other largest rival gang.

Mumford and Sons

I first find out about Mumford and Sons in 2010 on a day off from college. I was watch VH1 and their song Little Lion Man come on and I fell in love with the song the second i heard it. There music is a mix of country, folk, and bluegrass. The leader singer Marcus Mumford plays the guitar and kick drum. The piano player is Ben lovett. "country" Marshall Winston plays the banjo. Lastly, Ted Dwane plays the upright bass. All for of them are vocalist for the group, with most of the song they sing having 4 part harmonies. They are also based out of London where the start writing music in 2007.

I have been influenced by them because of their care free style yet having sure passion for music to write and perform the most pure music I have heard. "What we write about is real, and we sing and play our instruments more passionately cos we feel like we need to. We love honest music" says Country Winston. Having a love for music and being a somewhat musician it is nice to hear such real music that makes you feel so many different emotions. What i also love about them is there not one song of their at I like the most I love all of them and i never get sick of listening to them.

Rocky Balboa inspirational movie

For me the movie Rocky was very inspirational and had a good moral. I first watched the movie when I was in 6th grade and even then being so young, it really hit home for me. Today it is even more so because of the 6 year wrestling career I had throughout middle school and high school. The film tells of the American Dream basically going from nothing to something great and all the work that you must put forward in able to do so. In the movie, Rocky starts out as a no name club boxer, but is eventually given the chance to go up against the heavy weight champion of the world Apollo Creed. Before this fight he trains extensively with his coach Mickey everyday so that he’s in the perfect shape for going up against Apollo. Rocky’s good friend Paulie lets him practice in his meat shop so that even when Mickey’s not around he has a place to go. He overall has the support of all his friends, even his girlfriend, Adrian, who is very hesitant about the whole situation, supports him in his quest for victory. At the end of the movie he ends up losing to Apollo but then beats him in a rematch during the second movie. This film means a lot to me personally because it shows how hard work and dedication can lead to success. I can relate to it with wrestling and how I always strived to be the best and work hard during practice. Also the fact that he is out there by himself shows how the sport is very individualized and a win or a loss is credited to just him either way. Getting your hand raised after a victory is a truly indescribable feeling and I’m really going to miss being out there on the mat.
